Additional Needs

If a member of your family has additional needs there are facilities within the RAF to assist. AP 3392 Volume 2 Leaflet 2411 accessible via the Intranet gives full details of the help that are currently available to assist RAF personnel and their families in this category.

Also available is the Joint Service Publication (JSP) 820 which details the MOD Disability and Additional Needs Policy. Further advice is available from the local unit personnel staff, SSAFA Social Work Practitioner.

If it is a child with additional needs and there are associated educational issues it is advisable to also register with the Children’s Education Advisory Service (CEAS), See our Special Educational Needs Section.

If you have a family member with addtional needs and you are moving into a quarter, there is further advise on the website under Housing.
